LOUNGE CAB:
ALL-ROUND COMFORT.

The Lounge Cab is a true office where working is a pleasure all year round. The cab has among its strong points a four-post design that provides full all-round visibility; a suspension system with Hydro-Silent Blocks or spring-type shock absorbers; large doors for easy access; a clean, clutter-free flat platform; an excellent sound insulation system; a fully adjustable driving position; ergonomic controls; a DSM touch screen display with Dynamic + trim; a DAB radio system; an automotive-style fit and finish; an efficient climate control; and an exclusive Full LED light setup. The satellite antenna, integrated into the cab roof for added protection, reduces the tractor’s height without affecting the interior dimensions of the cab.

More comfort, more control, more productivity.

With its flat platform, the Lounge Cab offers a comfortable driving and working environment. Everything inside the cab is under control: the digital instrument panel and the DSM touch screen monitor with Dynamic + trim keep the operator constantly informed on the tractor’s performance; the steering wheel features a tilting and telescopic steering column that tilts with the instrument panel; the extra comfort driver’s seat with air suspension and swivel function features a multifunction armrest with a SmartPilot Plus joystick; all levers and pedals are ergonomically arranged. All these features enhance operator comfort, improve work control and increase productivity.  

Advanced driving system for assisted guidance.

Operating the tractor and the implements between crop rows requires utmost attention.  For this reason, Landini has developed the Advanced Driving System (ADS), an assisted driving system with no equal in the specialty tractor segment that allows the operator to fully concentrate on the task at hand. Seamlessly integrated with the satellite-based guidance system, the ADS allows the tractor to follow predefined paths with minimal deviations. The ADS also makes the steering wheel stiffer at higher speeds and easier to turn during manoeuvres; in addition, it causes the tractor’s wheels to automatically return to the straight position after a turn and adapts the vehicle’s behavior to the ground conditions, minimising impacts and vibrations.

Climate control, quietness and safety.

An efficient climate control system, located on the cab roof, maintains an ideal temperature inside the cab whatever the outdoor weather conditions. The climate controls are conveniently integrated into the overhead console and the filters are easily accessible for cleaning. The natural ventilation is ensured by the opening front and rear windscreens.

The Lounge Cab features an excellent sound insulation system which creates a quiet working environment. In addition, a Category 4 activated carbon filter protects the operator from contamination during pesticide application.

Dynamic trim level: simply comfortable.

The Dynamic trim level offers a package of features designed to enhance the operator comfort and improve the efficiency of the REX4 CAB:

• Multifunction joystick: allows the operator to easily control both the tractor and the implements with just one hand.
• Robotised 48F/16R transmission: combines the ruggedness and efficiency of a mechanical gearbox with the comfort of a CVT transmission.
• RPS – Reverse Power Shuttle: speeds up forward/reverse shifting without use of the clutch pedal.
• Electronically controlled rear hitch: the rear hitch is precisely controlled from the joystick to enable fully automated headland turns.

Dynamic + trim level: simply everything.

The Dynamic + trim level includes, in addition to the Dynamic trim, a number of features designed to maximise efficiency, profitability and comfort:

• Extra comfort air suspension seat: the seat swivels 16° right, to allow operator to check the work progress and monitor the console, and 8° left to make driver’s entry and exit easier.
• Multifunction armrest: the armrest is integral with the seat and houses the joystick and the most frequently used controls.
• DSM – Data Screen Manager: the 10-inch touch screen monitor allows the operator to configure functions and work in a simpler, faster and more efficient manner.
• ADS – Advanced Driving System: controls the tractor and adjusts automatically the trajectory to match ground conditions.
• Rear electrohydraulic remotes: rear remotes are controlled from the joystick for maximum accuracy and operating comfort.

TRANSMISSION: VERSATILE BY NATURE, EFFICIENT BY CHOICE.

The REX4 CAB features a Speed Four transmission with 4 synchronised gears and 3 mechanical ranges providing 16F/16R speeds with creeper. The Speed Four is a modular transmission that can be customised with the following options:

• Power Four: 2-speed Hi-Lo PowerShift with 32F/32R.
• RoboShift: robotised transmission with 48F/16R speeds for maximum comfort.

RoboShift robotised transmission: comfort and productivity.

The RoboShift transmission features a power-assisted gearbox with a three-speed on-the-go-powershift (HML) and four driving speeds (Speed Four).

The RoboShift transmission offers a number of advantages:

More Comfort: The RoboShift robotised transmission is controlled through the convenient, user-friendly multifunction joystick, for enhanced operating comfort.

More Productivity: The RoboShift transmission allows choosing between the simplicity of manual mode, which enables the driver to control the gearbox with two simple buttons, and the comfort of automatic mode, which automatically selects the right gear for the application, leaving the operator free to fully focus on the task at hand, thereby increasing productivity.

Eco Forty for reduced fuel consumption and noise.

The Eco Forty system, supplied with the Power Four, T-Tronic and RoboShift transmissions, allows the REX4 CAB to reach a top speed of 40 km/h at only 1,750 rpm in the high-speed range. This results in enhanced fuel economy and lower noise during transport applications.

Mechanical or electrohydraulic reverse shuttle and De-Clutch function.

The REX4 CAB tractor is fitted with a mechanical Synchro Shuttle. Also available is an electrohydraulic Reverse Power Shuttle that allows the operator to quickly shift from forward to reverse without using the clutch pedal. The shuttle response is electronically modulated and adjustable by the operator if required for different tasks. The system protects the tractor and the implements from shock loads at start-up  for enhanced driving comfort. All transmissions equipped with Reverse Power Shuttle feature a De-Clutch button on the gear shift lever allowing gear changes without depressing the clutch pedal.

Smart APS – Auto PowerShift automatic transmission.

During towing and transport operations, the Smart APS Auto PowerShift function automatically selects the right gear to suit load conditions, travel speed and engine rpm. The Smart APS – Auto PowerShift system always ensures the best performance-to-fuel-consumption ratio for a more comfortable and safer driving experience.

Stop & Action System for smooth and safe driving.

The Stop & Action function allows the operator to operate the clutch by simply pressing the brake pedal. This facility will provide a smooth driving experience comparable to that of a continuously variable transmission. In addition, based on the trailer’s load, the software decides when to disengage the clutch for added safety.

Two- or four-speed PTO with modulated engagement.

The PTO is available with a choice of two speeds: 540/540E or 540/1000 rpm. A 4-speed PTO providing 540/540E/1000/1000E rpm is also available. A push button enables smooth and modulated engagement of the PTO, ensuring a soft start-up of the implement. Also, when raising the electronic hitch during headland turns, the Auto PTO function will automatically disengage and reengage the PTO at three-point linkage heights set by the operator. The REX4 CAB can be further equipped with a 1000 rpm front PTO, which is fully integrated into the tractor frame for added strength and compactness.

THE SUSPENDED AXLE IS AGILE AND COMFORTABLE BY NATURE.

A suspended front axle is optionally available for the F, S and GT models. This axle enables each wheel to absorb impacts independently of one another, resulting in maximum grip, greater stability and better manoeuvrability on rough terrain. The suspended axle improves traction and control in the field and increases speed, safety and comfort on the road. The front axle is equipped with a differential lock and oil bath disc brakes which, combined with the rear axle brakes, ensure efficient braking on all four wheels. A 55-degree steering angle makes for excellent manoeuvrability.

V version with narrow axle.

The V version features a narrow, rigid-mounted high-pivot front axle with increased swing and a minimum overall width of 1,000 mm, for enhanced steering performance.

Electrohydraulic diff locks for perfect traction.

The electrohydraulic four-wheel drive engagement and the Hydra-Lock combined front and rear differential locks ensure powerful traction, even on the roughest terrain. The system is controlled through the Auto function which automatically engages and disengages the differential lock and the four-wheel drive during headland turns and transport operations.

The multifunction joystick controls both implements and transmission.

The mid-mount remotes are controlled by a convenient joystick which operates both the front- and mid-mounted implements. The RoboShift transmission comes with the SmartPilot Plus multifunction joystick to control both the implements and the transmission.

Powerful and convenient rear hitch.

The Category 2 mechanical or electronic rear hitch has a lift capacity of 2,700 kg. The GT version can lift up to 3,400 kg. The Ergonomic Lift System (ELS) allows the operator to raise and lower the implement by the simple click of a button, making headland turns easier and faster. The result is more productivity and less fatigue for the operator. The electronic rear hitch is controlled via user-friendly, intuitive controls located on the SmartPilot Plus joystick and on the right-hand console. Some sensors located on the three-point linkage further enhance hitch sensitivity making implements easier to use, for increased efficiency and productivity.

Front hitch and PTO.

An electronic front hitch and a front PTO, fully integrated into the tractor frame for ultimate strength and compactness, maximise the versatility of the REX4 CAB. Offering a lift capacity of 1,700 kg, the front hitch is Category 1 or 2 and is equipped with quick couplers. The electrohydraulically engaged front PTO provides a speed of 1,000 rpm.

DEUTZ STAGE V ENGINE, THE HEART OF YOUR REX4 CAB.

The REX4 CAB is equipped with innovative Stage V Deutz TCD 2.9-litre, 4-cylinder turbo intercooled engines with electronic common rail injection system that deliver power ratings from 75 to 112 hp. Designed to deliver their maximum power between 1,500 and 2,000 rpm, these engines are extremely efficient; they provide more power and better fuel economy, while offering a great versatility of use.  The fuel tank capacity is 60 litres on the S and V versions, 80 litres on the F version and 85 litres on the GT version. The fuel consumption is reduced to a minimum thanks to the passive regeneration of exhaust emissions and the Engine Memo Switch, which stores and recalls the ideal engine speed for a specific task.

Stage V engine: emissions under control.

The REX4 CAB meets Stage V emissions requirements using a set of innovative technologies including a passive-regeneration diesel particulate filter (DPF) and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). Engines over 75 hp are additionally equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system and an easy-fill 7,5L AdBlue tank. The exhaust gas aftertreatment system fits under the bonnet without any changes to the vehicle’s dimensions. This solution allows unobstructed view to the front and sides of the vehicle while maintaining a compact tractor design.

QUICK MAINTENANCE TO GET YOU UP AND RUNNING IN NO TIME.

Designed with reliability and productivity in mind, the REX4 CAB provides 10 technical solutions that simplify and speed up maintenance:

1. Long maintenance intervals: up to 1,000 hours.
2. The fully opening bonnet and the removable side panels allow for faster checks and maintenance.
3. A handy toolbox is stored in a compartment of the access ladder.
4. The oil filler cap with the dipstick is located in the lower part of the engine, so engine oil can be topped up without opening the bonnet.
5. The engine intake filter is easy to clean and replace.
6. The coolers, located in front of the radiator, and the laterally-removable dust cover allow for simple, fast and thorough cleaning.
7. The battery’s positive terminal is easily accessible on the engine’s front to speed up jump starting.
8. Refilling AdBlue is simple and fast, thanks to the filler flap located on the bonnet and the special filler system that allows refilling without removing the cap.
9. The air filters, located on the cab roof, are protected by quick-release grids allowing for fast and easy maintenance.
10. The transmission oil level can be conveniently checked through the oil filler cap with dipstick located on the rear of the tractor.
